Keywords:

This study is a systematic literature review that examines the influence of da'wah on social media on the ideological shift of the audience. Previous research shows that da'wah on social media has created complex dynamics in shifting ideological and religious understanding in society. There are various patterns of audience response, such as selective acceptance, negotiation of meaning, total acceptance, and ideological hybridization. This phenomenon reflects the active, critical nature of the audience, as well as the openness and dynamism of the digital da'wah space. Audiences are no longer passive recipients, but are involved in the process of negotiating, reinterpreting, and even creating new narratives that fit their context and life experiences. Even though it reflects a more democratic and inclusive dynamic, the ideological shift in the context of da'wah on social media also has the potential to lead to total acceptance of extreme or deviant ideologies. Therefore, a wise and moderate approach is needed in conveying da'wah messages on social media in order to be able to strengthen religious identity that is in accordance with moderate values and protects all people.
