Abstract

This research aims to analyze research trends on early childhood education based on publication data in the Scopus database. Bibliometric analysis was carried out to evaluate publication developments and patterns, author productivity, institutional performance, as well as visualization of keyword networks and concept clusters related to the topic. The results show a significant increase in the number of publications from 2006 to 2023, although there is a slight decrease in 2024. In terms of author productivity, Murrary, J. stands out with 6 journals studied, while other authors only reached 3 journals. Institutionally, Helsingin Yliopisto leads with 10 publications, followed by the University of Northampton, Universitet i Stavanger, Goteborgs Universitet, and The University of North Carolina with 6 publications each. The United States dominates the number of publications with 73 publications, followed by the United Kingdom with 28 publications, and Australia and Finland share third position with 25 publications each. The word network visualization shows the relationships between concepts such as "child", "preschool", "adult", "human", "female", "male", "humans", and "prevalence", with "human" at the center network. The cluster visualization groups concepts related to humans and life stages with the level of relevance indicated by the yellow circles. This study provides a comprehensive picture of the research landscape in the field of early childhood education and can serve as a reference for researchers and related stakeholders
